Ex-Dallas Officer Ordered to Pay $6.3 Million to Iowa Man's Family for In-custody Death

A former Dallas cop has been ordered to pay $6.3 million to the family of a 70-year-old man who died while in the officer's custody in East Texas four years ago.Ernesto Fierro was reprimanded several times while working for the Dallas Police Department in the 1990s and 2000s. He resigned in 2005 after being involved in multiple on-duty crashes in which he was accused of leaving the scene.  Continue reading...
