Two 72-year-old's were found dead Tuesday in an apparent murder-suicide in Murphy after a woman attempted to reach her mother but was unable to, police said.The woman missed lunch with her mother and attempted to call her, but no one answered. She called police about 3 p.m. after she went to her mother's home in the 600 block of Taylor Trail, near Heritage Parkway, and did not have a key to get in, police said. Officers entered the home in the Windy Hill Farms subdivision and found two people dead with gunshot wounds. The shooting appeared to be a murder-suicide because of the circumstances of their deaths and the fact that the house was locked, police said. The identities of the two people have not been released.
