Driver Flees After Crashing Stolen Van Into Apartment Building in Fort Worth

A stolen minivan crashed into an apartment building in South Fort Worth on Wednesday morning, causing significant damage but no known injuries. The accident was reported shortly before 8 a.m. at the Vega Place Apartments on Community Lane near Woodway Drive and Altamesa Boulevard. Firefighters found the minivan crashed into the clubhouse, punching a hole in the wall and lodging itself inside the building. The minivan's driver was nowhere to be found, and police have yet to identify a suspect.Officers with the Fort Worth Police Department were able to determine that the vehicle was stolen.
