Dr Pepper Pops the Top on Its New Frisco Headquarters at the Dallas Cowboys' Star

Beverage giant Keurig Dr Pepper has kicked on construction on its new Texas headquarters in Frisco.The $200 million project is part of the Dallas Cowboys' Star development and will open in 2021 just west of the Dallas North Tollway.Dr Pepper will move about 1,100 of its employees from Plano to the new 350,000-square-foot Frisco office building that will join the Dallas Cowboys' headquarters at the Star."They are going to be overlooking every day the practice fields of the Dallas Cowboys," team owner Jerry Jones Sr. said at the groundbreaking. "I'm not so sure tangibly that's going to make a difference in how Dr Pepper tastes."But it certainly makes a difference in how my Dr Pepper tastes."Dr Pepper agreed in February to shift its local offices from Plano's Legacy business park to the building developer Lincoln Property will construct on the north side of the Cowboys' practice field. The office project was designed by Dallas architect HKS.The beverage firm will join companies including FM Global, Bank of America, PlainsCapital Bank and RBC Wealth Management that have offices at the Star along with the Cowboys.Jones said recruiting Dr Pepper to the Star will pair two great brands. He said the company has had a long relationship with the Cowboys."Keurig Dr Pepper is a company that any brand - much less a team - would be honored to have that association with - to know their headquarters will be sitting right nearby the Dallas Cowboys' headquarters," Jones said. "We relish our association."The iconic Texas beverage company was acquired by last year for more than $21 billion by Massachusetts based Keurig.
