DeSoto Woman Sues Hospital for Throwing Out Her Stillborn Baby With Its Dirty Laundry

A DeSoto woman and her family are suing a Minnesota hospital after its staff threw out her stillborn baby with the dirty laundry.The lawsuit alleges that Regions Hospital in St. Paul failed to treat the infant boy's body with dignity, leading to a situation where laundry workers gawked at him and "sent pictures of him into cyberspace."Esmeralda Hernandez filed the lawsuit in Ramsey County district court last week. Her baby, José, was stillborn on April 3, 2013, after 22 weeks of pregnancy.According to the lawsuit, Hernandez and her family kept the infant's body in her hospital room overnight to mourn, and the hospital said it would cremate his remains.  Continue reading...
