Dallas Trustees Closer to Appointing a New Board Member, But They Aren’t Saying Who

Dallas school trustees will meet Thursday to review applicants for a spot on the board, but the district refuses to reveal who is up for consideration. School officials have yet to release the names of the those who applied to represent the area that includes Pleasant Grove in the southeast part of the district. Candidate information for those filing for public office is typically readily available. People had until Feb. 19 to apply for consideration for the District 4 trustee position. Schools spokeswoman Robyn Harris said the names weren't being released yet at the request of the board president. "He wants to give all board members the opportunity to review the applicants and fully discuss first prior to the release of the information," Harris said.   Continue reading...
