Dallas Police Officer Charged With 10 Count of Tampering With Government Records

A veteran Dallas police officer was arrested Thursday for allegedly tampering with government records.Police said Matthew Rushing turned himself after an investigation by the department's public integrity unit, which investigates criminal misconduct of officers. Dallas County jail records show he faces 10 counts of tampering with government records. The charge is a state jail felony. A police spokesman also said Rushing will be charged with fraudulent use or possession of identifying information, a second-degree felony.  Continue reading...
