Burglary Suspects Reportedly Tie Up Elderly Couple, Beat Husband, Irving Police Say

An elderly couple was reportedly tied up during a burglary overnight in Irving, police said. Officers received a call about the incident just before 4:10 a.m. Wednesday in the 1000 block of Fouts Drive, near North Belt Line Road and West Pioneer Drive. Four suspects broke in, tied the couple up and severely beat the husband, who was later transported a hospital, Irving police spokesman James McLellan told KTVT-TV (Channel 11).
