As Neiman Marcus Shares Its Popovers With New Yorkers, the Zodiac Brand Is Pulling Back

Neiman Marcus has decided its new Zodiac restaurant in New York is so cool, it needs some exclusivity and it's getting it.The retailer is renaming Zodiac restaurants in several of its other 42 Neiman Marcus to something else, maybe NM Café or Mariposa, said Chris Gangi, general manager of the three restaurants in the new Neiman Marcus in Manhattan. Both of those names are already used by the Dallas-based luxury retailer in many of its stores."Eventually, there will be only two Zodiac restaurants in downtown Dallas and here," said Gangi standing in retailer's first store in New York City, which is opening Friday in a new mall called the Shops at Hudson Yards.Zodiac restaurants in St. Louis, San Diego, Bal Harbor, Northbook outside of Chicago and the King of Prussia Mall near Philadelphia will be rebranded.   Continue reading...
