Arlington Firefighters Control Blaze at Former Six Flags Mall

Firefighters are putting out a fire that erupted Monday morning at the former Six Flags Mall, said Lt. David Tyler of the Arlington Fire Department. Arlington firefighters responded to a 2-alarm fire at 7 a.m. in the 2900 block of East Division Street. The blaze encompassed the food court of the abandoned mall. Firefighters tried to enter the mall when they arrived but took a defensive position because no one was in the building. "This is a building someone is paying to tear down, so we're not putting our firefighters in danger," Tyler said.   Continue reading...
