Another Tower Starts Construction This Week in Plano's Legacy West

All the groundbreakings aren't over at Plano's $3 billion Legacy West.On Thursday, construction will start on a 27-story condominium tower in the heart of the mixed-use development.The Windrose Tower at Legacy West high-rise is being built next door to Liberty Mutual Insurance's new regional office complex on Headquarters Drive.The luxury residential tower will have condos ranging from 1,272 square feet to 11,000 square feet for the penthouse.With almost 90 homes, units in the building will start in price at more than $650,000.GDA Architects designed the building, which is being built by a development partnership headed by Jim Duggan.The condo tower is one of two residential high-rises being built in the Legacy West project.Construction started earlier this year on 29-story apartment tower called LVL-29.Both of the residential high-rises are just north of the Legacy West Urban Village with shops, restaurants, apartments and office space.And the condo and apartment towers are being built just down the road from Toyota's newly opened North American headquarters.Windrose Tower will be the first high-rise condominium project in Collin County.  Continue reading...
