Construction is underway in Dallas' Uptown district for another high-rise apartment building.The 13-story tower is being built on Oak Grove Avenue near Hall Street by Dallas developer Trammell Crow Residential.The new high-rise was designed by Houston-based architect Meeks+Partners."We are always excited to bring luxury housing options to Dallas," architect Don Meeks said in a statement. "This project in north Dallas will be a great addition to the Uptown area."The Alexan Oak Grove residential tower will have 185 apartments ranging in size from 600 to 2,600 square feet.The building will have a clubroom, conference rooms, fitness center, indoor-outdoor bar, a resort-style swimming pool and a "sky lounge" on the 12th floor.Trammell Crow Residential last year completed a similar 15-story residential high-rise a few blocks away on Carlisle Street. That project, called Carlisle and Vine, has 159 apartments starting in price around $1,900 a month. The largest units fetch more than $11,000 in rent.The Oak Grove Avenue site for the new project previously had several small office buildings.The planned tower will join more than a dozen new high-rise residential buildings on the way in the Dallas area with more than 4,000 luxury rental units.
