After 9 Years at WFAA, Meteorologist Colleen Coyle Says ‘see You Later’

Meteorologist Colleen Coyle has delivered her final forecast for WFAA-TV (Channel 8) — at least for now.Coyle took some time off in January after she and her husband announced they were adopting a child. She was scheduled to begin the second half of her adoption leave this week, but decided she will not be returning to the station, she announced in a Facebook video Wednesday morning. She said in the video she realized she needed to make a change for herself and for her family.“This has been a really, really tough decision and know that it’s been done with so much thought and fierce prayer,” Coyle said. “I’ve been trying to balance everything the last six months: Being a wife, being a mom, being an employee, a storm chaser, a friend, a follower of Christ. And the world says you can have it all, you can do it all. But sometimes you just can’t, and when you give time to something, something else has to give.”After nearly a decade at WFAA, Coyle said it has been hard for her to accept the reality that she is leaving, but that she is excited, nervous and hopeful for her future.  Continue reading...
