2 Indicted in Drive-by That Killed Carter High Football Player Hours After Graduation

Two men who are accused of murdering a Carter High School football player just hours after his graduation have been indicted, KTVT-TV (Channel 11) reports.Jeremiah Robinson, 17, and Courtney Wright, 26, were both arrested on murder charges after a May drive-by that left 18-year-old Ledajrick "LD" Rajae Cox dead and two others wounded.Robinson is accused of pulling the trigger. Another passenger was in the vehicle during the shooting, police say, but was not charged.Cox had graduated from Carter High School, where he ran track and was a wide receiver on the football team, hours before his death. He had signed to play football with Navarro College in Corsicana earlier in the year.The shooting took place around 1:40 a.m. May 28 in the 3300 block of West Walnut Hill Lane near Belt Line Road.Police say Cox was with friends at 7-Eleven when an argument broke out after Wright made comments to a woman who was with Cox.  Continue reading...
