2 Fort Worth Officers Injured as Driver Crashes Into Squad Cars at Accident Scene on I-35W

Two Fort Worth police officers suffered minor injuries when a vehicle crashed into their squad cars while they were working the scene of an accident.It happened around 10:15 p.m. in the 2500 block of northbound Interstate 35W, police said. According to police, one officer was in his squad car and the other was outside when the second crash occurred as they investigated a single-car accident. The driver of the vehicle that hit the squad cars was detained on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, police said.Both officers were taken to area hospitals for treatment of injuries that were not considered serious, police said.  Continue reading...
