It's official, the Texas SkyScreamer is the world's tallest swing carousel ride, according to Guinness World Records.
Six Flags Over Texas received notification on June 28 that the ride surpasses the previous record holder, Prater Turm, in Vienna, Austria, by 19 feet.
"The notion that everything is bigger in Texas certainly rings true now that the Texas SkyScreamer has officially been named the world's tallest swing ride," said Steve Martindale, Six Flags Over Texas park president. "We are proud to have this iconic landmark serve as a source of entertainment for families and thrill-seekers near and far."
At an astounding 402 feet, 10 inches tall, Texas SkyScreamer provides 24 riders a breathtaking view of the Arlington, Dallas and Fort Worth skylines at speeds of up to 35 mph.
Since opening in May, nearly 100,000 guests have enjoyed the ride, including NBC 5's Jeff Smith -- enjoy the video below!
