DENVER, CO - JULY 21: Shin-Soo Choo #17 of the Texas Rangers strides to third base with a triple to complete the cycle in the ninth inning as DJ LeMahieu #9 and Daniel Descalso #3 of the Colorado Rockies wait for a throw from the outfield during Interleague play at Coors Field on July 21, 2015 in Denver, Colorado. In a weekly staple, we'll discuss who's in a groove and who's in a rut for the Texas Rangers.

    Who's On?

Shin-Soo Choo — Since the all-star break, Choo has been the best hitter on the club — remarkable considering he was basically relegated to platoon duty in the outfield with Ryan Rua prior to the break. That's no longer the case. Over his last six games, he's batting .381 with a team-high .500 on-base percentage. He has two doubles, two homers and four RBIs in that time.

Adrian Beltre — The Rangers have been waiting for this time for quite a while now, but it appears Beltre is finally heating up. Even before his thumb injury, the veteran third baseman wasn't living up to his high standard for himself. Over his past seven games, he's batting .429 with two doubles, a triple and two homers while driving in five runs. He also hit for his third career cycle on Monday.

Elvis Andrus — Andrus has continued to hit the ball well, something he's been doing for more than a month now. He's batting .345 with a .367 on-base percentage over his past seven games with two doubles and a homer.

    Who's Off?

Spencer Patton — Despite his crisp outing on Tuesday night, Patton has struggled in recent weeks and had allowed two runs in 1/3 of an inning prior to his clean inning on Tuesday.

Keone Kela — He's literally off right now, as in off the squad. Kela was sent to the minors last week to give him a much-needed breather as he led all rookies in baseball in appearances.
