ARLINGTON, TX - JUNE 08: Doug Brocail #46 of the Texas Rangers (blue jacket) talks with Yu Darvish #11 in the fifth inning of the game against Houston Astros about Darvish's shoulder at Globe Life Park in Arlington on June 8, 2016 in Arlington, Texas. (Photo by . Rick Yeatts/Getty Images)

The Rangers didn't win their ninth game of the season against Houston on Wednesday, and while that was a bit unfortunate, it wasn't the headline after the Rangers' 3-1 loss to Houston at Globe Life Park.

Instead, it was the fact Yu Darvish, who was on a 95-pitch limit, threw just 76 before leaving after five innings with seven strikeouts and four walks while giving up just three hits and one run. Darvish was visited by trainers with two outs in the fifth and was allowed to finish the inning, but he didn't return for the sixth with what was deemed shoulder stiffness.

Darvish said after the game it was more of a neck stiffness and he wasn't concerned. Of course, it's not easy for Rangers fans to echo those sentiments.

Then, in the eighth inning after going into second base safely, Adrian Beltre was removed and was grabbing at his left hamstring as he limped off — not a bad limp, but a noticeable one.

Beltre has chronic issues with his hamstrings, which is concerning for the 37-year-old cleanup hitter. Jeff Banister didn't sound too concerned in postgame, but it's still awfully concerning.

The latest news from 105.3 The Fan's Jared Sandler is that Beltre is undergoing treatment and will be re-evaluated later today, and Darvish plans to play catch today and be re-evaluated after that.

Darvish seems to be OK, but it's still concerning given his recent Tommy John surgery. Beltre, on the other hand, surely has something wrong, but we all know how tough he is and hope he can play through it.
