Andrus Has Good Game in Return

Elvis Andrus had a great experience playing for his home country of Venezuela in the World Baseball Classic, but it ended sooner than he'd hoped.

And secretly, the Texas Rangers couldn't be happier to see Venezuela eliminated and to see Andrus back in spring training with a little more than two weeks remaining before the Rangers face the Houston Astros in the regular-season opener on March 31.

In his return to the Rangers on Tuesday after 10 days out of Rangers camp, Andrus was in midseason form, going 1-for-2 while reaching base on an error and via walk, stealing a base and scoring twice.

In his seven spring games with the Rangers, Andrus is now hitting .294 with a .400 on-base percentage with a home run and a double.

One person who probably wasn't thrilled to see Andrus back so early is Jurickson Profar, who will now take a back seat to Andrus in the lineup with the season closing in.
