Witten Says Dez is a Great Teammate

Jason Witten and Dez Bryant were seen having a sideline shouting match during the loss to Detroit

Even after cameras caught Dez Bryant and Jason Witten having a bit of a shouting match on the sidelines during the loss to the Lions last week, Witten maintains that Bryant is a great teammate.

There’s not a guy that you love playing more with on Sundays than Dez Bryant,” Witten said, per the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

The infamous clip (which can be seen around 9,000 times a day on any sports news channel) shows Witten yelling and pointing at Bryant while Bryant gave it right back to the veteran. Bryant was eventually dragged away by defensive end DeMarcus Ware, who stepped between the two.

But Bryant has said since that he looks up to Witten as something of a mentor. For his part, Witten agrees with the young receiver’s assessment.

“It’s been an honor to watch him develop into the player and the person that he’s become,” Witten said, “really an elite player at his position and what he does.”
