Ratliff's Pretrial Hearing Moved to Feb. 20, 2014

A pretrial hearing for Dallas Cowboys player Jay Ratliff scheduled for Thursday has been postponed to Feb. 20, 2014.

Ratliff was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving after a collision with an 18-wheeler along state Highway 114 on Jan. 22.

Ratliff's arrest touched a raw nerve with fans since it came just over a month after teammate Josh Brent was arrested on an intoxication manslaughter charge stemming from a crash that killed teammate Jerry Brown Jr.  Brent's trial is expected to begin Sept. 23.

Ratliff has been charged with the Class A misdemeanor, which is punishable by up to a year in jail and a $4,000 fine.

With the pretrial hearing move, the only distraction left for Ratliff leading up to the season opener is the hamstring injury he suffered during a pre-camp conditioning test.  He is expected to be ready for the opener against the New York Giants.
