Once a Cowboys Fan, Moore Glad to be a Giant

New York picked defensive end Damontre Moore in the third round out of Texas A&M

A Rowlett, TX native and Texas A&M product, defensive end DaMontre Moore grew up a Dallas Cowboys fan. But now that he’s a New York Giant, Moore doesn’t so much mind that, in general, the Dallas-New York rivalry has been decidedly in the Giants’ favor in recent years.

I grew up a Dallas fan and, you know, I always watched the Giants,” Moore told TheLandryHat.com. “Those were always the guys beating Dallas, and I like, I didn’t like them. Now, that I’m on that side, I can be with the winning team.”

The Cowboys actually split the season series with the Giants last year, but thanks to a Week 8 loss at home, Dallas has still never beat their division foes at Cowboys Stadium--which, no matter how you look at it, is a tough statistic to swallow.

Moore won’t have to wait long to have his first crack at his hometown team: The Cowboys will host the Giants at JerryWorld in Week 1, on September 8.
