Justin Durant Dealing with Groin Issue

Durant had to leave Sunday's opener with a groin injury in the fourth quarter

Newly minted Cowboys defensive captain and weakside linebacker Justin Durant suffered a groin injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s opener and is considered day-to-day, head coach Jason Garrett said.

Durant recorded eight tackles and had a near interception before exiting early.

New safety C.J. Spillman suffered a groin injury prior to the game and was held out.

“We evaluated them last night and evaluated them again today, and they’re really going to be day by day,” Garrett told the team’s website on Monday. “They both got treatment this morning. They’re getting their rehab. Hopefully, they respond well to that and will be able to practice later this week.”
