Jenkins Preparing For Another Test In Fitzgerald

Over the past month, the list of wide receivers facing the Dallas Cowboys reads like a Pro Bowl roster: Marques Colston, Reggie Wayne, DeSean Jackson and Santana Moss each have had a crack at the struggling Dallas secondary of recent, and for the most part, they’ve exposed it as a flawed area of the Dallas defense.

This week will certainly be no less difficult, with the defense, Mike Jenkins in particular, charged with stopping the Arizona Cardinals’ Larry Fitzgerald, who--with a solid quarterback, something he doesn’t really have at the moment--is probably the best of any receiver hitherto named.

All the same, Fitzgerald is still eighth in the league with 78 catches, and just 14 yards shy of hitting the 1,000 yard mark. For Jenkins, the test is obvious, but it’s certainly nothing new.

"They're all elite," Jenkins said of opposing receivers this season, per ESPN Dallas. "You got to give them respect and they do their thing every Sunday. You got to respect them but at the same time we got to handle our business."
