Former Running Back on Current Cowboys: “I'm Not Sure They Have Enough”

Walt Garrison was inducted into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame in Waco this weekend

Former Cowboys running back Walt Garrison remains a Dallas fan. But like most former Cowboys it seems, he’s not shy about voicing his doubts about the current edition of the team.

Also like more people than we could name here, Garrison is quick to note that the talent level in Dallas is pretty disparate to the level of success we’ve seen in recent years.

They have got some great players,” Garrison said, per the Dallas Morning News. “I’m not sure they have enough. I don’t know. Dallas went through that when Tom Landry got there, too, they didn’t win. They tied one game the first year he was there. Hopefully, it will get better because I’m still a Cowboys fan. I pull for them. I don’t agree with everything they do, but I still pull for them. I still want to see them win. I don’t pull against them, especially against Philadelphia and Washington.”

Garrison was in Waco over the weekend to be inducted into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame, via a big ceremony (including seven others) at the Ferrell Center at the University of Baylor.
