Decision on DeMarcus Ware Coming Soon?

According to a report, the Dallas Cowboys could announce a decision regarding Ware's future in the coming day or so

A decision regarding DeMarcus Ware’s future with the Dallas Cowboys could come as early as Tuesday, Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas reports.

The problem is that the Cowboys want the seven-time Pro Bowler to take a pay cut. Not surprisingly, Ware doesn’t want to take a pay cut.

He said last week that he would listen to the Cowboys’ pitch, and has said in the past that he’d be open to restructuring his deal, but added that he expects no shortage of interest should he be cut and sent to free agency.

Ware is the franchise leader in sacks with 117 but he’s coming off the worst season of his career. He missed three games with a quadriceps strain and posted career-lows in tackles (40) and sacks (six). Health issues followed Ware into the offseason and he was forced to go under the knife to correct a nerve issue in his elbow.

Free agency begins on Tuesday at 3 p.m., CT.
