Sixth Earthquake Hits Cleburne

USGS reports Cleburne area has been hit with its sixth earthquake in a month

The Cleburne area has been hit with its sixth earthquake in a month, according to reports from the USGS.

A 2.2 magnitude event hit the area at 10:30 p.m. Friday roughly four miles from the city of Cleburne.

911 calls received calls reporting the event late Friday night. As with the other quakes in the are, there was no reported damage or injuries.

The City of Cleburne says seismic equipment from SMU is in the area to record data.
