    Police said at least one person was injured in a head-on collision on U.S. 75 in Allen early Friday morning.

    According to Allen police, a Mercedes SUV traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of U.S. 75 collided with a panel truck near West Bethany Drive before 3 a.m.

    The impact flipped the panel truck on its side, and the SUV caught fire, police said. Good Samaritans pulled over and put the fire out.

    Paramedics took the driver of the SUV to a hospital. The conditions of both drivers was not released.

    U.S. 75 north between Bethany Drive and McDermott Drive was reduced to one lane as crews worked to clean up diesel that had spilled from the panel truck.
