Plano's successful Martini Park has given up hope of re-opening.

Chris Barish, owner of Martini Park said negotiations to reopen it's location at the Shops At Legacy have broken off.

The nightclub, which enjoyed huge success, closed voluntarily in November because it was unable to meet the 50/50 food/liquor sales ratio as required by zoning regulations.

Recently, Plano amended it's zoning allowing Martini Park to function as a private club.

Barish said he's enjoyed success in Plano and would like to return, but has been unable to reach a new lease agreement with the Shops at Legacy. He told NBCDFW's Randy McIlwain that at this point, he's done trying.

We're certain the cries will ring out again in the comments field, "Where will the cougars go now?"
