The real shock of this unscientific survey conducted by AOL's Shortcuts.com and Allyou.com is that women would rather get a measly $50 extra a week (!) than have more sex. Sure, we're in a recession -- but really?
- Binge drinking has been spiking among older adults. About 22%of men and 9% of women ages 50 to 64 are considered binge drinkers -- which is defined as having five or more drinks at a time--- according to a recent survey. The high level of drinking is more damaging to the older set than their suds swilling frat boy counterparts because the older group faces higher health risks.
- Not everyone interprets facial expressions -- and emoticons -- the same way, new research shows. Asians tend to focus mostly on the eyes when reading emotions and Westerners look at the face as a whole, causing confusion between the two groups when trying to define the seven main facial expressions. In the West, for example, the emotion for "sad" is :-( . In the East, it is (;_;) or (T_T) .
