Texas Tech coach Tommy Tuberville has fired two assistants and moved a third to another position following the program's first losing season in 19 years.

Offensive line coach Matt Moore and defensive backs coach Otis Mounds were fired Monday. Defensive line coach Sam McElroy will be reassigned to another job.

The Red Raiders finished the season with five straight losses and a defense ranked 115th nationally.

Texas Tech has hired Terry Price and John Lovett to help with the defense. Price spent the last three seasons as the defensive line coach at Ole Miss and Lovett is a former defensive coordinator at Miami.
