Texas Motor Speedway will host the first Saturday night race on the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup schedule and again have twin IndyCar Series races on the same night.
The track's 2012 racing schedule announced Tuesday night is very similar to this year because TMS president Eddie Gossage says fans liked the variety in the revamped slate this year.
Texas had its first scheduled night Sprint Cup race this year, and will do it again next April 14. The November race again will be the eighth stop in the 10-race Chase for the Sprint Cup championship.
NASCAR Nationwide races also will be run on the Sprint Cup weekends.
The IRL twinbill is June 9.
There will be NASCAR truck races the IRL weekend and in November.
