As part of an upcoming renovation at TCU's Amon G. Carter Stadium, the west grandstand will be imploded next month.
The school said Sunday that the grandstand will be imploded at 8 a.m. on Dec. 5. Viewing locations for the implosion will be announced in the future.
TCU said over the summer that it had raised $105 million to renovate the west side and north end zone of the stadium.
Work on the renovation is set to start shortly after TCU's final home game on Saturday, when they'll face San Diego State.
Renovation is set to be finished by the beginning of the 2012 season.
