Rivera: “Disrespectful” That Panthers are Listed as Underdogs Against Dallas

Vegas actually has the Cowboys as one-point favorites against the undefeated Panthers

The Carolina Panthers are 10-0 after dismantling the Washington Redskins at home on Sunday, 44-16. The Cowboys are 3-7, after the return of Tony Romo lifted the team to their first win in two months against the Dolphins.

But the Cowboys are actually one-point favorites going into the Thanksgiving Day matchup with Cam Newton and co. Panthers head coach Ron Rivera opined this week, per Steve Reed of the Associated Press, that the line was "a little disrespectful."

Of course, no one in Las Vegas was looking to take a shot at the Panthers by making the Cowboys favorites--everything is considered when setting the odds--but we also know that NFL coaches are generally very adept at using any perceived disrespect to motivate their team, and we’ve seen them work with less.
