NASCAR Fans Take Over TMS for Yearly Tradition

Thousands of NASCAR fans will call North Texas home this weekend.

Texas Motor Speedway hosts the Duck Commander 500 and O'Reilly Auto Parts 300 races Friday and Saturday, but fans have been posting up around the track all week.

Regulars at the TMS campgrounds say they've met people from around the world who made the trip to this year's event.

Some of the very dedicated in the crowd have even made this a yearly tradition since the track's beginning in 1997.

"Come out, have a good time, go see a good race, some fast cars and party on again," said longtime fan Denzel Smith.

For more information on the races this weekend, check out the Texas Motor Speedway website, and tune to NBC 5 for highlights all weekend.
