The Dallas Mavericks and their fans showed heart during the crucial Game 4 against the L.A. Lakers on Mother's Day.

The crowd was electric during a game that turned out to be a Mother's Day Massacre, with a 122-86 win over the Lakers.

The win eliminated the Lakers and swept Zen Master coach Phil Jackson into retirement.

"It feels good to get all the Mavs haters off our backs. To beat the champs, it feels good!" said Mavs fan, Luke Mena.

But, while the Mavericks are celebrating the win, they stress it is still not over.

And, like the perpetual bridesmaid, fans say they are still waiting for "the ring."
