Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton was scratched from a Texas Rangers intrasquad game for the second consecutive day Tuesday because of a bruised left shoulder.

Hamilton sustained a left shoulder contusion Thursday when he dived for a ball during a pop-up drill. He returned to full activity on Saturday but was scratched from the intrasquad games with lingering soreness in the joint.

The Rangers have one more workout scheduled for Wednesday before exhibition games begin Thursday with the annual charity game against the Kansas City Royals.
