There’s been a lot of talk about DeMarco Murray’s workload of late.
After Murray carried the ball a career-high 31 times in the overtime victory against the Texans, head coach Jason Garrett publicly stated that the team would cut back on Murray’s touches. Hall of Fame running back Barry Sanders then responded to Garrett’s call by calling for Dallas to keep feeding Murray, to not get away from what was working.
In Sunday’s win over the Seattle Seahawks, Murray’s carries were down from the week before--from 31 to a meager 29.
Murray is staying out of this conversation entirely, and says he isn’t concerned with the workload.
“I don’t really hear it,” Murray told the team’s website. “I’m just concentrating on doing my job so I can help this team win. Whatever they ask me to do, like I’ve said, I’m going to do it to the best of my ability.”
