Losing two consecutive games to Coastal Carolina with a trip to the College World Series final on the line was bad enough for TCU fans.
It was even worse for TCU alum and reigning NL Cy Young winner Jake Arrieta, who lost a bet with teammate Tommy La Stella, a Coastal Carolina alum, according to ESPN.
Arrieta, a native of Plano, will have to get a Coastal Carolina tattoo when the Cubs return to Chicago.
"So happy for those kids," La Stella told ESPN. "When we get back to Chicago we'll get [Arrieta] tatted up for life."
The Horned Frogs beat the Chanticleers earlier in the week in the double-elimination tournament. The two had a bet on that game also, and Arrieta said La Stella will have to dress up as the Horned Frogs mascot.
