Police say someone called 911 around 7:40 a.m. Sunday saying a woman on a foot bridge near at Turtle Creek Boulevard and Maple Avenue was not breathing.

Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and pronounced her deceased.  Then homicide investigators came to the scene.  They interviewed witnesses and gathered effects near the victim’s body.

“We don’t have any signs of foul play at the moment,” said Dallas Police Spokesperson Monica Cordova.  “(the victim is) a while female, late 40s possibly early 50s.  There are signs she did become ill.”

Police have not released the victim’s name and their investigation continues.

A portion of the Reverchon Park trail was closed off and guarded by police on both sides for several hours Sunday morning.   The area is popular with joggers and dog walkers.
