Man Found Dead in Car in the Trinity River

The Dallas County Medical Examiner's office confirms a man's body was inside a car found upside down in the Trinity River.

Emergency crews pulled the Toyota Camry from the river Wednesday morning in Farmer Branch.

Rescuers said a small dog was also in the car with the deceased driver, but was able to escape and is alive.

The man in the car was identified as Dan Harold Makris, 65, of Dallas.

Dallas, Irving, and other fire and police departments helped pull the car from the river.
