Vehicle Fire Stalls Traffic on U.S. Highway 75

A vehicle fire in the northbound lanes of U.S. Highway 75 in Dallas closed a portion of the freeway Tuesday morning.

Due to the fire, the northbound lanes of U.S. 75 from Elm to Bryan streets were closed just after 6:40 a.m.

The fire was located on a stretch of roadway that connects Interstate 45 to U.S. 75, designated Interstate 345. The closure impacted traffic on I-45, Interstate 30 and other roadways.

Firefighters and emergency crews were able to remove the burned vehicle and reopen the lanes at about 7:50 a.m.
