One person is hospitalized after a car collided with a Union Pacific train in unincorporated Tarrant County, Monday afternoon.[[322070471,C]]
The car and a train reportedly collided at the railroad crossing at Hicks Avondale School Road Monday afternoon, not far from the intersection of that road with Business Texas 287/N. Saginaw Boulevard in far northwest Fort Worth.
A woman in the car was critically injured and was flown by air ambulance to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. It is not known if anyone else was in the car.
The train appears largely undamaged and did not come off the tracks in the collision.
