Three in Custody After Chase Ends Near D/FW Airport

Authorities said three people were in custody after a chase in a stolen vehicle that ended near Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport Thursday morning.

At about 1:45 a.m., officials said Dallas police were pursuing a silver Audi that had been reported stolen in Lancaster.

Dallas County Sheriff's deputies and two police helicopters were involved in the chase. Irving police joined the chase when the driver entered the city limits.

Police said the Audi driver crashed in a ditch trying to enter westbound Texas 183 from the service road near D/FW Airport at about 2:30 a.m.

Three people exited the vehicle and ran toward a fence that read "DFW Airport Property No Trespassing," according to police. Irving police captured them and took them into custody at 2:30 a.m.

No further details have been released.
