A Houston-area woman said someone stole a turkey she planned to cook for Thanksgiving from a grocery bag in the back of her pickup truck.
Nicole Mosher told Houston television station KPRC if the thief was so desperate for a turkey, she would have invited him to dinner to share the 23-pound bird.
Mosher said her husband had left their truck for a few minutes while he ran into a store about a block from their apartment in Baytown, east of Houston. When he returned, the $30 turkey was gone.
She said she and her husband couldn't afford to buy another one and she went on social media to vent her frustrations. People from the area who saw the post have pitched in to get the couple a replacement.
