21 Tons of Juice Spilled at I-30, Loop 12

Crews continue to cleanup cranberry and apple juice on ramp

A big-rig crash caused 21 tons of juice to spill along the westbound Loop 12 ramp onto Interstate 30 in West Dallas Thursday night.

Wrecker crews attempted to move the semi, which caused the two-quart containers of both apple and cranberry apple juice to spill along the ramp.

The ramp was closed from about 10 p.m. until just before 5 a.m. Friday. Traffic continued during morning commutes.

Investigators told NBC 5 the driver was going too fast and couldn't handle the turn. He was not injured from the crash.

NBC 5's Ben Russell contributed to this report.
