Richardson police need help identifying a man in connection with a kidnapping and aggravated sexual assault.

They released a sketch of the man Wednesday.

Investigators said the woman was attacked while she was leaving a club near Belt Line and Plano roads early Sunday morning.

The woman was just about to get into her car when she was approached from behind by a man who grabbed her, flashed a knife and forced her into her vehicle.

Police said the man forced the woman to drive to a parking lot in the 900 to 1000 block of Belt Line Road, where he sexually assaulted her on the ground outside her vehicle and then ran away from the area.

Police described the man as a thin, white man who is 5 feet 9 inches tall, 40 to 50 years of age and unshaven with shoulder-length, brown-gray hair. He had yellow teeth, mumbled speech, body odor and smelled of alcohol. Police said he may be homeless.

Anyone with information in the case should call the Richardson Police Department at 972-744-4801.
