Police: 2 Fatally Stabbed in Apparent Drug Deal

Investigators have identified two Beaumont men who were fatally stabbed during an apparent drug deal.

Beaumont police on Sunday said 35-year-old Tedrick Tramaine Marshall and 33-year-old Manuel Deshotel were slain.

Five other Beaumont men were arrested late Friday and charged with murder in the attack hours earlier.

Sgt. Rob Flores Jr. said police believe what started as a possible drug deal turned into an attempted robbery.

Flores said one victim was discovered in a church parking lot. He died later at a hospital. The second victim was found dead at the first man's home.
