One Man Injured in Fort Worth Shooting

The man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries

A man was shot in Fort Worth Thursday morning after a late night cigarette run.

According to police, two men walked to a convenience store to get cigarettes near Alta Mesa Blvd. and Woodway Dr. at about 3:30 a.m. When they were in a nearby parking lot, a black Chevy Impala began circling the men.

One of the men, who was unarmed, acted like he was reaching for a weapon in his waistband. That's when someone in the Impala fired at the other man, hitting him in the backside.

That man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say they are looking for anyone in the car and hope they'll lead them to the shooter.
