North Texas Organizations Host Veterans Day Events

Despite winds up to 30 mph and temperatures in the 40s, several North Texas Veterans Day activities remain as scheduled.

Parade participants like Marine Corp. Jacob Schick said it's an honor for veterans to join in the festivities. Schick said the scars of battle aren't always visible.

"It's the wounds that are six inches between your ears that are most debilitating," he said. "So I want the people to know that just because you can't see scars doesn't mean you don't have them."
